Saying there has been a lot of hubbub in Wisconsin between the Governor Scott Walker and the Teachers Union would probably be the understatement of the year. It’s been in the news and in social media networks everywhere. In mid-February, it was all people in Wisconsin were talking about. No matter what side of the argument you are on, this video from Ted Talks featuring Bill Gates may change your mind –or at least open it.
I really don’t believe that Bill Gates coincidentally decided to speak at Ted Talks on this subject. Do you? I think perhaps he felt the same thing that I have during this period of upheaval in the US, or at least Wisconsin, and maybe asked himself these same questions.
What are the real issues causing these decisions to be made?
How can we solve the underlying problem?
In light of these challenges, how can we provide our children a better education?
Our schools are breaking, how do we fix them? What if we’re wrong?
